About Me

My name is Preston Herdt, and I am a LMFT in the San Diego, CA. area. I am also licensed in the state of Idaho. Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to make an impact on people's lives. Initially, I thought it was by being in Law Enforcement, but came to terms knowing that I wanted to make a difference in a way that allowed me to also be able to be at home with my family and to be able to attend events without worrying about my schedule, working graveyard shift, or calls getting in the way. Not only that, but the ever growing dangers that Law Enforcement face on a day to day basis. I knew I wanted something different and wanted to be able to help people feel seen, heard, and cared about no matter what their past entails.

Growing up in a small town, I learned the importance of building genuine relationships with others, being dedicated to help my neighbors and community, and to show a high level of respect for everyone. Not only was that due to growing up in a rural, small town area, but that was instilled in me from my upbringing. Being able to be a support for people in times of need and making a difference in their lives is something I strive for.

I received my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from California Baptist University and my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. I am a father and a husband and we enjoy quality time together listening to music, going to church, watching movies , and playing games together.
